Digi Pack Construction

As I began creating my digi pack the first thing I did was to find the basic template which i could then work on and add my designs to. I inserted this template into photoshop and then began sizing my designs so that they fit the template. I began creating the animated images which i added to my digi pack design. Firstly I sketched the images of the child toys which i want in my digi pack and I then scanned them into publisher and began colouring them in. I experimented with different shades and brushes to create a washed out effect to create the effect of a young childs drawing/ colouring book. I experimented with all the animated designs and coloure them in using the paintbrush tool and reducing the darkness of the colours so that they naturally contrast and blend into one another.

After I had finished colouring in my sketched out designs on photoshop, I then began creating the actual digi pack. Firstly I chose my background colour to a light pink because this is very femnine and links in well with the childlike effect. I then began adding my images by inserting them into photoshop and then resizing them and adding them to the front cover, I also decreased the darkness so that they slightly blended into the cover so it looked more realistic. I then began adding my text onto my digipack I decided to use a pale orange pastel colour as this shows up well against the pink background.

After I added all the text of the list of song choices I then inserted a picture of the inside of a book which I took on a camera and then inserted into photoshop. I inserted the image into photoshop onto a transparent background and then cut around the image and put it onto my digi pack. I then wrote the first line of song lyrics across the book pages, my intention for using the book was asthough the whole idea of having a make believe friend is the story behind a childs story. Below is my finished Digipack.

"I like the illistrations because they create a childlike effect"

"The contrast between the different images work effectively. Well done"

"The digi pack is very simple. Could've perhaps experimented with different colours and more imagery but overall it's good"
