Research Into Genre And Choosing My Unsigned Band

I've done research into my chosen artist 'Jose Vanders' because I wanted to see the kind of creativetly and image that my artist wants to create. Below is an image of Jose Vanders website which is used to sell her music and draw in an audience of her genre. Her website is easy to navigate around and there are lots of images and videos of the artist performing. The website had been created to look simple with various animated, everyday objects. The images are used to portray the kind of themes which she sings about, they also portray her carefree image that she wants to create. Her website is very 'childlike' in order to target her young audience and the colours break conventions of a website because they wouldn't initially be used together. The writting on the page is made to look asthough the artist has personally wrote the message herself, this break the barrier between the artist and her audience which creates a intense relationship and interaction with her young audience. Her music is easily accessed on the site and there is a playlist at the bottom of the page for viewers to listen to her music.





















I have also had a look at my artist performing her music live so I can see what kind of venues my artist plays in. This is Jose Vanders performing in Lincoln, and she tends to perform in low key places such as small clubs or performing spaces because she is unsigned, so her main focus is to get her music heard by young listeners.
